Emily Rice is a founding co-PI of BDNYC, Associate Professor of Astrophysics at the Macaulay Honors College (City University of New York), faculty in the Physics Ph.D. program at the CUNY Graduate Center, member of CUNY Astro, and a resident research associate in Astrophysics at the American Museum of Natural History.

Emily is co-author of ASTRONOMY LABS: A Concept Oriented Approach, a lab manual for college-level astronomy courses, published by Pearson.

Emily gives public presentations, including at the Hayden Planetarium. makes silly often musical parody videos, runs Astronomy on Tap HQ, and shares science fashion on STARtorialist.
